QuoteFBO co-founders Aaron Lovelace and Colin Cowger first met at age 19 while attending the University of North Dakota's aviation program.
Their careers took them in different directions—Colin into professional aviation and Aaron into technology and entrepreneurship—but their shared passion for flying remained.
The idea for QuoteFBO came from Colin's firsthand frustrations as Chief Pilot of a small flight department. Managing FBO arrangements, gathering quotes, and comparing options often involved unnecessary complexity and limited transparency. Colin recognized an opportunity to make the process significantly easier.
Combining Colin's operational experience with Aaron's background in building technology businesses, the longtime friends saw an opportunity to leverage artificial intelligence and modern software to transform the process. Together, they founded QuoteFBO to automate time-consuming tasks, bring greater transparency to FBO services, and give aviation professionals better information and more control over their decisions.
Aaron Lovelace
Co-Founder & CEO
Aaron is a technology entrepreneur and private pilot with nearly 20 years of experience building, growing, and scaling technology businesses.
He previously co-founded and served as CEO of BeeStripe, a technology company that reached millions of users and grew to more than 40 employees. He also played an instrumental role in building LifeDNA, a personalized health technology company, serving as an investor, advisor, and consultant from its earliest stages through its eventual acquisition.
Throughout his career, Aaron has helped launch and grow multiple software and technology ventures, combining expertise in product development, digital marketing, automation, AI, and business strategy. His background also includes time as the lead Growth Strategist at MapQuest, an operating subsidiary of System1, a publicly traded technology company.
As CEO of QuoteFBO, Aaron leads the company's vision, technology strategy, and growth, with a focus on applying AI and automation to simplify complex aviation workflows and empower operators with better information.
Colin Cowger
Co-Founder & President
Colin is a Chief Pilot, running a flight department for a Gulfstream G550. He is also an Airline Transport Pilot and FAA Certified Flight Instructor with extensive experience across corporate aviation, fractional ownership, and emergency medical transport.
His career includes serving as Chief Pilot, flying corporate aircraft for Costco Wholesale, operating for Flexjet, and conducting critical-care medical transport flights for Airlift Northwest. Colin also brings an engineering background, having worked on avionics systems at Garmin and aviation software at Coradine Aviation Systems.
A pilot since the age of 19, Colin has dedicated his career to aviation safety, operational excellence, and sharing his passion for flying. His firsthand experience managing flight operations inspired the original concept for QuoteFBO. As President, he brings the operational perspective that guides the platform's development, helping ensure its AI-powered capabilities solve practical, real-world challenges for pilots, aircraft owners, and flight departments.
